SHIMA, Japan -- Taiwans Teresa Lu won the Mizuno Classic on Sunday, birdieing the last two holes and six of the final eight for a two-stroke victory. The 25-year-old Lu, a regular on the Japan LPGA Tour after giving up her LPGA Tour membership in 2010, shot an 8-under 64 in windy, wet conditions at Kintetsu Kashikojima. She finished at 14-under 202 and earned $180,000 for her first professional title. "Ive been waiting for this day for so long," Lu said. "This is my first win. Its been eight years on tour. Im really happy. Really nervous and really happy. She made a 12-foot birdie putt on the par-4 18th. "I knew I have to go lower and get more birdies otherwise I was going to get in a playoff," Lu said. "Its better not a playoff. So I focus on the birdie." She has three runner-up finishes and 13 top-10s this season on the JLPGA. "Beginning of this year, I got into two playoffs and in both of them, I lose," Lu said. "I guess I really learned from that and just tried to be calm." South Koreas Chella Choi, tied with Lu with two holes to play, had a 66 to finish second. "I think I had very good confidence today," said Choi. "I just think, OL, one putt, just one stroke. So I think birdie and focus. I dont know why, not nervous. I think good experience for me. ... Its OK, though, because I played well today. Disappointed, but satisfied." Japanese players took the next five spots. Mamiko Higa and Yuki Ichinose shot 70 to tie for third at 10 under, Yumiko Yoshida (68) and Shiho Oyama (71) followed at 9 under, and Asako Fujimoto (71) was 8 under. Stacy Lewis, the 2012 winner, tied for eighth at 7 under after a 70. The American was the top-ranked player in the field at No. 3. "Its really hard out there," Lewis said. "I could have made some putts earlier I just couldnt seem to make any putts. But to shoot 2 under in this wind is a good score. Its pretty crazy what those two are doing today." American Brittany Lincicome, a stroke behind second-round leaders Higa, Ichinose and Oyama entering the day, had a 77 to tie for 29th at 2 under. Lu became the second Taiwanese winner in tournament. Ai-Yu Tu won in 1986 when the event was called the Mazda Japan Classic. Lu was asked if she planned to return to the LPGA Tour next season. "Probably, probably," she said. "Its big!" Glenn Robinson Bucks Jersey . -- Terry Francona likened the atmosphere at Kauffman Stadium on Tuesday to a playoff game in October. Brook Lopez Jersey . The 25-year-old native of Milford, Conn., has 18 points in 41 games this season. The five-foot-eight 166-pound centre also has 28 points (10-18) in 15 games with AHL Oklahoma City. . The match, billed as a "next-gen" encounter between two of the sports rising stars, lasted two and a half hours. The loss kept Raonic, from Thornhill, Ont., from reaching a third fourth-round spot in Melbourne over the past four years. Giannis Antetokounmpo Bucks Jersey . Early in the first period, Stuart pinched in from the blue line, hit Nash and was assessed a minor penalty for elbowing. Nash remained in the game for the rest of the first period, but did not return for the second. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Bucks Jersey . The German has taken the pole for three straight races -- winning the first two. Hes aiming for a third consecutive win at the Yeongam circuit and, most importantly, a fourth consecutive F1 championship. FRANKFURT, Germany -- Bayer Leverkusen secured a 2-1 victory over Hoffenheim on Friday with a goal that wasnt and Hoffenheim lodged a protest hoping for a replay. Stefan Kiesslings header at the near post from a corner narrowly missed the target, the ball hit the outside of the net but rolled into the goal through a hole in the netting. Although television replays left no doubt, referee Felix Brych ignored pleas from Hoffenheim players, who also appeared to be taken by surprise at first. Brych was shown the breach in the netting but the FIFA referee shrugged and stood by his decision as the game had already resumed. "Its a scandal. That was no goal, there are no two ways about it. We are definitely going to protest," Hoffenheims managing director Alexander Rosen said. His Leverkusen counterpart, Rudi Voeller, also said it was "definitely" not a goal and said his team was in an "uncomfortable situation." "Thats not how we wanted to win the game," Voeller said. "The fair result would have been a 2-2." Kiesslings first reaction was to turn away in frustration at missing the chance and hold his head in his hands. Only when his teammates surrounded him in celebration did Kiessling also raise his arms in tepid triumph. "I didnt really see it, I turned away but I was surprised to see the ball in. I didnt know how it got in," Kiessling said. The incident resembled Thomas Helmers famous "phantom goal" for Bayern Munich against Nuremberg in 1994 that finished in a 2-1 Bayern win. That match was replayed and Bayern won 5-0 to capture the title. Brych said, "there was a corner and then the ball was in the net." "I had a slight doubt but the reaction from the players was clear, nobody was against (the decision),"; Brych said.dddddddddddd Brych said that none of the players -- including Kiessling -- had told him that it wasnt a goal. It wasnt Brychs only controversial moment. He disallowed a Hoffenheim goal that was clearly onside and incorrectly awarded a penalty to Hoffenheim, although the spot kick was missed. Sidney Sam scored against the run of play to put Leverkusen ahead after 26 minutes and Kiesslings "goal" doubled the lead in the 70th before Sven Shipplock pulled one back for Hoffenheim late in the match. In the 82nd, Brych awarded a penalty for Hoffenheim although Roberto Hilbert played the ball and Roberto Firmino fell over him. The tackle was outside the box anyway. Firmino himself took the shot but Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno stopped it. Firmino pounced on the rebound but hit the post and Emir Spahics clearing attempt also hit the post before the ball was finally kicked away. Sam found the space to slot into the low corner despite facing three Hoffenheim defenders in the 26th. Gonzalo Castro did the work, delivering the ball after an unchallenged run down the middle and Sam scored his league-high seventh goal of the season. Hoffenheim was the team dictating play but could not use its chances and also had the misfortune to have a regular goal mistakenly disallowed for a non-existent offside. Kevin Vollands attempt was blocked at the last moment, Sejad Salihovics free kick was cleared on the line and Anthony Modeste missed Hoffenheims best chance when Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno managed to divert his point-blank shot into the corner. While Hoffenheim wasted half a dozen chances, Leverkusen did look dangerous on the rare break. Modeste had another header saved in the second half, while on the other side Castros shot was palmed away by Koen Casteels. ' ' '
